Sean Gares exposes shocking Valorant match fixing scandal involving illegal betting, crypto gambling rings, and player misconduct. Riot Games investigating as we speak.

Sean Gares finally came out with proof and it did not disappoint. Whatever was shown was just the tip of the iceberg. And even then, whatever we know melts into a series of unravelling chaos that just leaves more questions than answers. Let’s dive in

There are 2 key alleged perpetrators mentioned in Sean Gares' video. Bray— his role, is seemingly limited to luring players in and is linked to a crypto group. The second perpetrator— the founder of said group — cooker. You may now be questioning, how is this evidence even conclusive?

How Sean Gares Managed To Collect Information On Match Fixing

From behind the scenes, 2 players Teague from landor and Practo from Burger Boyz, directly interacted with Bray through Sean’s coordination for the conversations with Bray. Bray directly opened the chat with Practto flaunting bet winnings— a tactic to lure him. They quickly shifted to discord where incriminating evidence came out.

And they got a name. Jackpot. But, before all that — he reveals important information. How the bettings works. “ Streamer accounts on multiple sportsbooks, that’s how we can bet 6 figures +” This is more important than people realise because it essentially makes the money almost untrackable. The streamer accounts allow these people to even place such big bets. He then pulls back and tries to lure Teague back in

More Evidence

Yep, he bet $230,18810 on a match round and gained a turn over of 1.72 times what he had staked, which was already a very big amount.

Practo responds, “I’m good, thanks for the offer”. This interaction took place just days after Riot’s response towards the match fixing.

Shortly after, everything started shifting to Telegram

And along with it, everything was wiped clean from cooker’s and Bray’s platforms. Yet, their investments were still clear as day

The Investments

Cooker directly confessed to not even playing valorant. Stating, “ No point” as a justification. So, for a bronze player, investing such copious amounts of money in TIER 2 VALORANT of all places seems bizarre. Especially, when Bray— an immortal player switched his headshot percentage between acts to perform so well abruptly.

The bettings seemingly is a 50-50 at some matches to keep the suspicion off. The only good part out of all this, is that Riot is already aware of what is happening.

Riot’s Response

For now, things will be a bit slower than what everyone would have liked due to Riot’s position as a global company. Yet, things seem to have a direction and a direction for where the investigation is ongoing.

Final Thoughts

The thing about Match Fixing is that it doesn't always have to be obvious. In the vods that Sean was showing, many fans were left uncertain/unsatisfied about what was occurring. It just looked like a player having an off day. Yet, that’s exactly why match fixing is so easy to do, especially for a scene that was so lucrative and has now run dry. It’s easy for players to fall for it —” to be a millionaire at 19” because their salary is not enough. As Sean said, this is why the replay system is so integral to the scene. With many community members still uncertain, what do you think?
