Stellar Blade PC Release Blocked in Over 120 Countries on Steam Ahead of June Launch

Stellar Blade’s PC debut hits a snag as Steam blocks access in 120+ countries, sparking confusion over regional limits and PSN account concerns.

Stellar Blade, the much–anticipated action–adventure from Shift Up, is supposed to land on PC June 11, 2025, but Steam users in more than 120 countries can’t even buy it—which is causing a lot of head–scratching and annoyance among fans.

PC Release Details

The PC version of Stellar Blade will be available on both Steam and the Epic Games Store on June 11, 2025. It’s set at $59.99 for the Standard Edition, and there’s a $79.99 Complete Edition that bundles all downloadable content plus crossover items like Nier: Automata costumes. The port is meant to include AI upscaling, Nvidia DLSS 4 and AMD FSR 3 support, unlocked frame rates past 120 FPS, ultra–wide aspect ratio support, a couple of new boss fights, and some 25 new outfits for Eve. If you pre–order, you might get some extra cosmetic goodies, too—though that’s still being finalized.

Regional Block Explained

SteamDB shows the game’s Steam page is locked out in about 129 countries, most of which are places where PlayStation Network doesn’t exist. Because of that overlap, people think it’s tied to a PSN–account requirement, similar to what happened with Helldivers 2 last year. Neither Sony nor Shift Up has given an official reason yet, and that lack of clarity is making everything more confusing.

Developer & Community Response

Shift Up said they were surprised by how many folks in the community told them they couldn’t buy the game. They’ve assured everyone that you don’t need a PSN account to play on PC, but that hasn’t changed the situation for many. On Reddit, players from blocked regions keep complaining they can’t pre–order, and some are even talking about using VPNs or going to other stores if nothing changes.

With June 11 coming up fast, everyone’s watching to see if Sony or Shift Up will lift the restrictions or at least explain exactly what’s going on. Gamers in the blocked countries really hope for a fix or clear guidance before launch day. Until then, Stellar Blade’s PC debut feels like a mixed bag—exciting for its promised technical upgrades, frustrating because so many won’t be able to get it.
