Tara Gaming unveils The Age of Bhaarat, a mythic Indian AAA action RPG with global ambition.

Tara Gaming is a brand new Indian game development studio that has announced its first title, The Age of Bhaarat, a game encrusted with Indian mythology, which can be classified as a dark fantasy action adventure. The studio has two eminent celebrities as its co-founders: film actor Amitabh Bachchan, bestselling author Amish Tripathi and veteran games producer Nouredine Abboud (Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands).
The game shall be released on Steam and Epic Games Store for PC, besides being available for unspecified consoles. No dates have been confirmed, but a cinematic trailer has been released.
An Indian Epic in Gaming Form
The Age of Bhaarat sees players take on the role of a Forest Warden, a mystical guardian of the lands of Anandpur. The Warden must protect the homeland from an apocalyptic invasion of Rakshasa demons. Players will make use of traditional Indian armaments, mystical artefacts and spiritual powers they draw from nature.
With a gameplay inspired by epic Indian epics like Ramayan, the game contains lushly crafted surroundings from cursed forests, sacred lakes, to snow-capped peaks, all representing the wide and mystical ancient India.
Innovative Gameplay Features and a Story by Amish Tripathi
Another highlight is the grapple hook combat system of the game, which has movement that enables dynamic vertical traversal and fast-paced action. Players are free to customise their fighting with multiple weapons and abilities as they mix agility, magic, and pure brute strength. Additionally, Multiplayer extends most of its features to allow the player to travel with him or alone. The author of the story is Amish Tripathi, author of the Shiva Trilogy and Ram Chandra series. It promises a rich tale of duty, betrayal, and ancient power where player choices shape the outcome of both character and world. “This is our chance to bring Indian itihaas to life in a modern, engaging format,” said Tripathi. “We’re building something which goes ahead while thrilling today’s gamers.
The Vision Behind Tara Gaming
For the maker of Tara Gaming, it is to merge the legacy of storytelling from India with AAA-grade game development. Amitabh Bachchan said, “Gaming is what comes alive in the stories for upcoming generations. This is our resource to tell our culture and imagination to the world." Co-founder Nouredine Abboud added, "With Mr. Bachchan and Amish on board, this becomes more than a game; it becomes a vision to redefine how India appears in global gaming."
This Age of Bhaarat underlines a new milestone in Indian game development, aiming to set new benchmarks and culturally rooted storytelling before a truly global audience. Tara gaming is at the cusp where it promises to deliver when it talks about being cinematic in quality, mammoth lore, and audacious ambition.
