Ubisoft and Netflix Join Forces for Assassin’s Creed Live-Action Series
Ubisoft and Netflix officially team up for a live-action Assassin’s Creed series, promising thrilling storytelling, iconic gameplay elements, and rich historical settings.

Netflix and Ubisoft are officially teamed up after years of planning and discussion to bring a live-action Assassin’s Creed series to life. This live-action series will be produced with the help of Ubisoft Film & Television. However, it will require input from Netflix.
Assassin’s Creed Series Officially Coming to Netflix
Jeb Stuart and David Wiener are going to be the showrunners of the show and help the creative vision. Both have received awards and good responses from fans for their previous productions, Wiener on Halo and Patino on Westworld, further hinting that there will be deep storytelling along with heavy world-building in the show.
Ubisoft has officially said in their announcement that the show will be a thriller, and it is about the secret war between two formidable forces, the first trying to shape the future of mankind while the second striving to keep free will, and that makes it even more interesting.
Rather than simply concentrating on parkour and concealed blades, the series is planned to explore some deeper themes such as identity, power, greed, and human interaction.
According to Wiener, the characters will be exploring primary questions about their purpose and their role in the history of the universe, thereby anchoring the story away from events alone and toward people themselves.
What’s cool is that this isn’t the only project Ubisoft is doing with Netflix. They’re also making an animated Splinter Cell: Deathwatch show, which is supposed to come out in autumn 2025. So yeah, Ubisoft clearly wants to bring more of its games to shows and movies.
And with such a famous game like Assassin’s Creed and a really talented team working on it, this new live-action series could turn out to be a big success for both Netflix and Ubisoft.
