Marvel Rivals, the fast-paced 6v6 shooter by NetEase, is adding one of Marvel’s most powerful villains, Ultron. Leaks suggest that the evil AI from The Avengers will join as a playable Strategist in Season 2, which launches on April 11, 2025. Ultron, infamous for his cold intelligence and ambition to destroy humanity, will introduce a new playstyle to Marvel Rivals. According to reports, he will be a Strategist, a position that  focuses on battlefield management, deliberate attacks, and tactical assistance. Ultron is said to possess two primary abilities, he can call upon healing drones to assist allies and blast formidable energy beams at foes. These abilities imply a well-rounded character who combines offense with defensive team support, and as such, he is an interesting addition to the roster.

Ultron joins Marvel Rivals after the Fantastic Four arrived in Season 1, showing the game’s focus on adding popular characters.
