Valorant Patch 10.04: Tejo Nerfed, Killjoy Mains Rejoice & Waylay Incoming
Riot Games finally nerfs Tejo in Valorant patch 10.04, reducing his damage and removing his ability to destroy Killjoy’s Lockdown. Plus, a new Duelist, Waylay, is on the way!

Riot Games kicked off 2025 with a bang (literally) by introducing Tejo, a Colombian Initiator with some seriously explosive abilities. His Guided Salvo—a rocket barrage that works like a Clove smoke but deals 70 damage every 0.5 seconds—quickly became a headache for Killjoy mains. Why? Because it could destroy her Lockdown ultimate, much like Breach’s Aftershock.
Tejo Finally Gets a Nerf in 10.04
Players were hoping for changes in patch 10.01, but Riot left Tejo untouched. Fast forward to Masters Bangkok on March 2, and Riot finally dropped the nerf bomb:
- Damage reduced from 70 to 65
- No longer destroys Killjoy’s Lockdown
- Now only deals 50% damage to objects
Killjoy Mains Are Loving It (Mostly)
The nerfs have been well-received, with many players relieved that Killjoy is finally playable again. Some of the community reactions included:
- “Honestly, all of those changes seem pretty good.”
- “It should never have… I absolutely hate that it took this long.”
- “Finally, it’s possible to play KJ again!”
Of course, not everyone thinks the nerfs went far enough. Some feel that 65 damage is still too much and that Tejo’s signature ability should’ve been hit harder.
More Changes Coming – New Duelist Incoming!
Aside from Tejo’s nerfs, patch 10.04 is bringing more updates, including the arrival of Waylay, a brand-new Duelist. Will she shake up the meta even more? We’ll have to wait and see!
