Storm's Ultimate Wind Rider skin arrives in Marvel Rivals on May 30, 2025, as part of Season 2.5 update.
Marvel Rivals is about to receive a big seasonal update and the new Ultimate Wind Rider skin for Storm, one of the X-Men’s key members, is already getting a lot of attention. Launching on May 30, 2025, the skin will be in Season 2.5, adding fresh features, new ways to progress and excitement among the community.

Players can only get the Ultimate Wind Rider skin using the new Premium Combat Chest. It serves as a weekly award system covering 24 different levels of completion. Different from a regular battle pass, the Combat Chest includes fewer steps and gives you Storm themed rewards. Players can buy the Premium Combat Chest with 690 Lattice, a currency that costs roughly $7 USD.Match participation, completing targets and earning experience points will allow players to unlock levels in the Combat Chest. Obtaining the Ultimate Wind Rider skin happens at level 6 which is relatively early in the way players progress. Those wanting to complete it more quickly can use Marvel Rivals to avoid levels for 200 Lattice each time. Players can spend 1,000 Lattice to instantly unlock the skin which means they spend about $17 USD if they haven’t played the game to earn Lattice.
The visual design for Storm shows her in a fittingly elegant and refined white outfit with a chic hairstyle. Peach Momoko, a famous Marvel artist known for her “Demon Days” art, made the design. Other goodies included in the Premium Combat Chest are the emote called “Tempest Scourge,” a matching nameplate and cosmetics designed to match Storm’s look.
Remember that the Premium Combat Chest and everything in it will be available just for Season 2.5. At the close of the season, the chance to get the Ultimate Wind Rider skin is over and it likely won’t return again in the future. So, players with an interest in Storm or rare items are invited to experience and contribute to this short-term event.
