Wuchang: Fallen Feathers Patch 1.3 Tries to Fix Troubled PC Launch

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers’ Patch 1.3 improves PC performance after a rough launch, addressing crashes, stuttering, and gameplay balance issues.

When Wuchang: Fallen Feathers was released on July 24, 2025, people were very excited for it. Available on PC, Xbox Series, and PS5, the game quickly gained big popularity—over 130,000 Steam players played it.

However, the game had many issues on PC. Steam reviews became mostly negative. Players are reporting frame dropping and crashes happening, and the game wasn’t optimized even with good graphics cards. In many reviews, the performance was the biggest concern. Around 70% of nearly 15,000 reviews on Steam say the game was not playable.

Patch 1.3 Released Fast

Developer Leenzee Games reacted very quickly to all the criticism by dropping Patch 1.3 on July 25. This update (which is also called update 1.000.007) aimed to fix the problems, especially on the PC version. The patch tries to reduce crashes and increase performance for gamers using medium- and low-spec computers.

Also, they fixed bugs like crashing on startup, pricing problems in stores, and issues with bonus items that the pre-order included. In addition to this, the developers nerfed mines in Chapter 2 because many people said they were too difficult and not fair. Some other small fixes were also included. To show apology, Leenzee gives all Steam players a free soundtrack of the game.

Early feedback after the patch tells us that the patch helped with many problems. Frame rates are more stable now, and crashes don’t happen often anymore. Some users still report stuttering or small glitches. But in general, it is playable now, which wasn’t the case earlier. A bigger patch will be coming in a few days, as the developer said on the official website.

Even though the update is done, many players are not fully trusting again yet. Steam reviews are still mostly in the negative section, even if some are now changing their minds. Critics are giving mid-70 scores to the game. Some say the game lacks creativity, and the story is not so original. The console version seems to be less broken, and PC still needs more patching before most people play again happily.

Patch 1.3 fixed lots of major issues from the first release. But still, not everything is okay. For players who got disappointed, they maybe will wait longer before trying again. At least now it works better than it did on launch week.
