Yunara Joins League of Legends in Patch 25.14, Set to Shake Up ADC Meta for Summer Split
League of Legends introduces Yunara in Patch 25.14. The new ADC brings hybrid scaling and AoE power, expected to reshape Summer Split strategies.

Yunara is coming to the live servers in Patch 25.14, which is supposed to launch on July 16, 2025, if Riot does not delay it. She is called The Unbroken Faith and got origins from Ionia. A long time ago, she worked with the Kinkou Order as Fist of Shadow and was sealed in the Spirit Realm after a big battle from Darkin times.
She has now come back, thanks to the Spirit Blossom event happening, and this made her wake up and return with powerful magic that changes the way she fights in Summoner’s Rift.
Yunara Abilities and How She Works in League of Legends
Passive – Vow of the First Lands
She deals extra magic damage when hitting crits. This means she scales hybrid and not just normal AD like most other ADCs do.
Q – Cultivation of Spirit
She gains stacks when hitting attacks or crits. When stacked full, she presses Q to get attack speed, more damage and AoE basic hits. When ultimate is active, Q is always on.
W – Arc of Judgment / Arc of Ruin
Basic W is a thrown bead that slows and explodes. The transcended version turns to a laser attack that passes through enemies and zones well.
E – Kanmei’s Steps / Untouchable Shadows
She runs faster on base E, which helps with positioning or getting away. With Ultimate, E is now a dash that also can jump walls, very useful for chasing or escaping.
R – Transcend One’s Self
Her ultimate turns her into a more powerful form for 15 seconds. It gives buffed Q, W, and E all together. It’s kind of like the final evolution form where she becomes strong in fights.
Playstyle and Item Paths
Yunara is stronger later in the game. She pushes waves well with her Q and can fight long fights well. She got many item options – like crit with Navori, or some hybrid AP+crit builds too. Wit’s End also works in some cases.
She plays more like Sivir than Kai’Sa. Players have to position better and use them wisely. Not strongest early, but scales hard into 3rd or 4th item fights.
How She Might Affect Pro Games
Because of MSI ending earlier, pro players get more time to try her in scrims before the Summer Split starts. She will appear maybe in Fearless Draft, which allows teams to try ADCs that aren’t always meta.
-
LCK could use her for wave clear and scaling comps
-
LPL may use her aggressive style with early pressure
-
LEC is more experimental so maybe pick her faster
-
Other regions might still be figuring out where she fits
Some pros think she won’t be a first-pick type, but useful in the draft if the comp needs her scaling and AoE damage.
Yunara brings a very different style to bot lane, but it still feels like traditional ADC in some parts. Her magic damage and hybrid scaling add new angles for team fights and lane phases.
While she won’t always be the best pick, she has real potential to shine in the right comp. The mid-to-late game window is where she gonna do best.
Yunara is both fresh and also kind of familiar, which makes her an interesting new addition to this Summer Split.
