There’s yet another collaboration coming to Fortnite. Epic Games has just announced that the music festival Coachella is making its way to the battle royale game. Several in-game items and music from artists from the festival will be featured in the game. The songs will be heard on Icon Radio by the players when they’re riding the Joyride vehicle. Around 30 artists from the Coachella festival will have their songs played in the game.

Two outfits have also been released in the game on April 14 namely the Wilder and Lyric Outfits. Both outfits have their own matching accessories. The matching accessories for the Wilder Outfit are the Neon Biter Pickaxe, the shark-inspired Finfin Back Bling, which is part of the outfit, and Finfin Flair Wrap. The alt Style for the outfit is its reactive nature to music and it’s called the Cosmic Equalizer alt style.

The Lyric Outfit comes with  Swaguaro Back Bling (included with the Outfit) and a Festival Shredder Pickaxe both of which are reactive to music and will dynamically change when music is played. The Lyric Outfit will also have the reactive Cosmic Equalizer alt Style.

Two more outfits will arrive in the game on April 21 which will be the Alto and Poet Outfits which will also have their matching accessories. Alto’s matching accessories are Sonic Vibes Back Bling (included with the Outfit) and the tropical Softest Electropalm Pickaxe. Fortnite will also host a photography event. The game dubbed it ‘Fortography’ and players would be sharing screenshots of themselves celebrating in Fortnite during the Coachella festival. Players can share these screenshots with the #Fortography hashtag on Twitter. Those who are not on Twitter can post the screenshot on the r/FortNiteBR subreddit with the Fortography post flair. Some selected few will be shared in a blog post on April 29 by Fortnite.

The game has seen plenty of collaborations from the music industry. Marshmello and Ariana Grande have performed in-game before as well. Coachella, on the other hand, is diving deep into the digital world as they also released NFTs and mobile AR features for those attending the festival this year.
