Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 features

There are new skills and abilities for players to take advantage of during matches. These ‘Reality Augments’ will provide players with two random powers/skills to give them an edge in the battle royale. There will be a total of 22 Reality Augments at launch including Light Fingers which lets players reload Light Ammo weapons faster. There’s also an ability that allows you to redeploy Glider for the rest of the match.

New Fortnite weapons

New chapter means new weapons and we’ve got two new shotguns to pump things up. One of them is Thunder Shotgun and it fires two shots at a time, dealing significant damage. The other one is an auto shotgun called Maven.

Two new rifles will also be making their way to the game. Ex-Caliber Rifle is a semi-automatic which firest a ballistic blade. That blade detonates some time after impact. The Red-Eye Assault Rifle is automatic and comes with a custom red dot sight for better aiming.

As the name suggests, Twin Mag SMG is an automatic which has a double-sided magazine, meant to decrease reload times.

There’s also a new Tactical Pistol and it’s an automatic which is bound to deal some serious damage upon impact.

Shockwave Hammer

With traditional weaponry out of the way, make some room for the new Shockwave Hammer, which is more up to the speed that you’d expect from Fortnite. Shockwave Hammer is a new melee weapon that is used as a heavy damage dealer but has an interesting catch to it. Shockwave Hammer also launches the enemies far away upon dealing damage. Players can use the Hammer innovatively and use it to launch themselves and their teammates as well.

Fortnite Hot Spots and Capture Point

Fortnite will now feature Hot Spots. These ‘hot spots’ will be different POIs on the map and feature a flying drone that carries rare weapons. Similar to Apex Legends’ Cargo Bot, players would have to shoot and bring the drone down to collect their loot.

Players can now capture different POIs on the map to be rewarded with loot. Once a team has stayed in the Capture Point of a POI long enough to capture it, they’ll see all the chests and opponents in the area. Keep in mind that the banner of the team in control is put on display.

The Witcher, Doom Guy and The Hulk soon in Fortnite

Is it even Fortnite if there aren’t collaborations? Add Geralt of Rivia and Doom guy to the list. Players can play as The Witcher himself in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1. There’s also a collaboration with Marvel once again, this time to bring The Hulk to smash things up on Fornite’s ever-changing map.
