Messi, Neymar, Pogba and other footballers reportedly in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2

Several real-life footballers will be headed to the game as part of a collaboration event, possibly during the FIFA World Cup 2022 in November.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 might be introducing Lionel Messi, Neymar Jr., Paul Pogba and many other football players. This bizarre leak came from one credible Call of Duty leaker TheGhostOfHope on Twitter. Apparently, these footballers will arrive as operators sometime after the game is released, most likely during the winter when the FIFA World Cup 2023 will be taking place. This collaboration event is just one of many recent crossover events from Activision Blizzard when it comes to Call of Duty with the likes of Godzilla and King Kong making their way to Warzone.

Leaked by a renowned Call of Duty insider and reported first by credible journalist Tom Henderson (via Insider Gaming), players could in fact be getting the chance to play as Lionel Messi in Call of Duty when this event does arrive. TheGhostOfHope said these unreleased operators were found in the in-game files of Modern Warfare 2.

Here’s the list of footballers that might be coming to Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2:

1. Messi
2. Neymar
3. Pogba
4. Klaus
5. Luna
6. Roze
7. Reyes
8. Gromsco
9. Aksel
10. Connor

None of this is official yet but leaks that are found through in-game files usually do turn out to have some substance in yet. It’ll be interesting to see how Call of Duty plans to bring real-life footballers to an FPS shooter but if we’ve seen Godzilla in Call of Duty, anything is now possible. The FIFA World Cup 2022 is set to arrive in November, which could likely be when Call of Duty plans to introduce this collaboration event.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is set to release this month on October 28 while Warzone 2 will be launched on November 16. Both of these titles will arrive on the PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
