Minecraft Legends, the upcoming spin-off from the Minecraft universe got a deep-dive at the Xbox Bethesda Developer Direct streamed yesterday. The PvP mode, one of the major attractions of this game was detailed on. Additionally, the launch date of Minecraft Legends was also announced. Here’s everything latest revealed about Minecraft Legends. 

Minecraft Legends- About the game

Minecraft Legends is a new action-strategy game, “set in a lush dynamic world” as described by devs Mojang Studios. They’ve collaborated with Blackbird Interactive to create the game. Creators from Mojang and Blackbird got together to familiarize us with the world of Minecraft Legends.

Special mention has been made of the storytelling. It makes the game very dynamic, leaving you to develop your unique style and gameplay. Additionally, you’ll get to interact with new as well as mobs that you’ve already come across in Minecraft.

Minecraft Legends: PvP Mode 

Moving on, Minecraft Legends includes an online PvP mode. The story-driven campaign can be played as an online co-op experience with your friends. Cross-platform play and online matchmaking is supported. 

It introduces epic storytelling, and you can form alliances with new and familiar MInecraft mobs to stop the invading Piglins. Minecraft Legends will let you play the story-driven campaign as an online co-op experience together with your friends. It involves two teams with up to 4 players each, working together to destroy the opponent’s team’s base. And then there are the Piglins, who are a constant threat to both you and your opponents. 

Minecraft Legends Gameplay

Minecraft Legends has a good mix of exploring, building, and action, so there’s something for everyone. We were walked through the different components of the game. We got a glimpse of the Upgrade Tower that will help you build an impenetrable base to defend yourselves. We were shown the Regal Tiger, a new mob that you can ride in Minecraft Legends. 

Some of the creators from Blackbird Interactive shared their own unique defense strategies that they use in the game. This also proves how dynamic the gameplay is, and allows you to develop your own tactical  style. 

Launch Date Revealed

Minecrafts Legends is releasing on April 18, 2023 as revealed at the Xbox Bethesda Developer Direct. It is launching on Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One via Game Pass, PlayStation 5/4 and PC via Steam and PC Game Pass.
