PlayStation Plus September 2022 games announced; PlayStation Stars launched in Asia, here is how it works

PS Plus subscribers have until October 3 to claim PS Plus September 2022 games. So be sure to add Need for Speed Heat, Granblue Fantasy: Versus and Toem to your library if you haven’t already.

Sony has announced the latest free PlayStation Plus games for October 2022. Hot Wheels Unleashes, Superhot and Injustice 2 will be available to download for all PlayStation Plus members from October 4 onwards. This also means that PS Plus subscribers have until October 3 to claim PS Plus September 2022 games. So be sure to add Need for Speed Heat, Granblue Fantasy: Versus and Toem to your library if you haven’t already.

Hot Wheels Unleashed

Hot Wheels Unleashed features the beloved race car toys and the iconic Hot Wheels tracks to race on. Players can race against up to 12 players in online modes or even challenge a friend in a two-player split-screen race. There’s also an option to create your race tracks which is sharable online.

Injustice 2 

Injustice’s sequel has the biggest DC superhero roster to offer in Injustice 2. Mortal Kombat creators NetherRealm Studios did not only offer offline and online versus modes but there’s also a single-player campaign which pits the players against a new ruthless supervillain group called "The Society" which makes Batman consider freeing Superman after his regime fell in Injustice: Gods Among Us. 

Superhot

Superhot is a unique FPS game where time only moves when the player is moving. There are no health regeneration items or random ammo drops in this untraditional FPS game. Players instead have to pick up guns from fallen enemies as they dodge slow-motion bullets.

PlayStation Stars launches in Asia

PlayStation Stars has been launched in Asia today. This free-to-join rewards program from Sony will soon roll out globally in October. PlayStation Stars, as mentioned, is a rewards program aimed that rewarding players for engaging in games on the PlayStation. Playing games, completing challenges and earning trophies will reward players with PlayStation Stars points. PS Plus members will exclusively be earning points for making payments on the PS Store. 

These points can then be redeemed as PSN wallet funds, exclusive digital collectibles and some PS Store products. Apart from points, players can directly earn digital collectibles as well. The perks and benefits of PlayStation Stars depend on the status level of a player. There are four status levels and one progresses through these levels based on how many non-common trophies a player has and also by the number of full game purchases made on the PS Store.

Currently, the PlayStation Stars program is only available on the PS App on Android and iOS. However, Sony mentioned on their blog that it will be available on the console in the future. North and South America region will be getting access to PlayStation Stars from October 5 onwards while Europe and Australia will be receiving this feature on October 13.
