Pokemon GO has just started a new in-game event to keep up the player engagement. Niantic Labs, the company behind the game is calling this new event “Unova celebration”. During the event duration, players will get more chances to capture Pokemon from the Unovan region from the Pokemon world. The list of Unovan Pokemon includes Lillipup, Snivy, Oshawott, Tepig, Blitzle, and more. In addition to the event, the game developer also rolled out the Unova Celebration Collection Challenge. Pokemon GO Unova celebration event and Collection Challenge out, details
Looking at the Pokemon GO Unova celebration event, we get the information regarding the event timing, rewards, and more. The event started at 10 AM on January 5 and will go on till 8 PM on January 10. As mentioned above, Unova Pokemon will appear on the map at an increasing rate. Niantic Labs also introduced several field research and rewards as part of the celebration event. Players can earn up to 3,500 Stardust, along with Ferroseed, Snivy, Tepig, or Oshawatt encounters. The event will also give one the chance to capture Shiny Snivy.
Pokemon GO players can also hatch Unovan Pokemon with the help of five-kilometer eggs. The list of Pokemon one can get from these eggs include Roggenrola, Petilil, Karrablast, Joltik, Elgyem, Shelmet, Sewaddle, or even Emolga. One can also earn up to 3,000 Stardust, 30 Poke balls, and 5 rare candy with the help of the Unova Collection challenge.
Unova Collection challenge is the first in-game event as part of a new feature called “Collection Challenges”. Niantic Labs noted that this new feature will offer players a chance to collect Pokemon during “certain events”. Players can head to the “Today View” to find and start the available Collection Challenge. We also got to know that the Collection Challenges will tie in with other events and disappear after the in-game events end. Finally, the developer has also added the Unova flavor to the Raid battles in the game. One and three-star raids will come with a chance to capture Unova Pokemon while five-star raids may offer a Genesect holding a Burn Drive.
