PUBG Season 9 Paramo map teaser out; details
According to the teasers, the company is talking about the “plateau of Paramo” in Peru. We likely got more information around the map as part of the “Mysteries Unknown” chip from Jonathan Frakes. Frakes is known for his role as “Commander William T. Riker” from the Star Trek TV series. He went on to narrate the one minute and 13 seconds teaser likely outlining the mystery around the map. The video talks about “The fountain of Truth”, and “The fountain of youth” along with the plateau of Paramo.
Beyond the initial video teaser, PUBG Corp also shared one poster and two short video clips for the new map. The first poster shows a battered helmet armor lying on the lava-ridden ground with a mountain in the background. We can also see a rifle towards the left and multiple bullet casings around. Days after this poster, the company posted a 13-second clip along with the launch details for the map.
The video clip confirmed that PUBG for PC is getting this map on October 21 and console on October 29. This video clip also showcased an erupting mountain in the background with a helicopter approaching the peak. Finally, the latest four-minute video clip also showcases players landing on the map. It also showed different environments/weather conditions on the map. It is likely that this map will also land on the now-banned game PUBG Mobile in the coming months, if not weeks.
