As per the announcement, the company is calling the program “Snapdragon Conquest”. The company stated that it will utilize its smartphone-focused feature-set through “Qualcomm Snapdragon Elite Gaming”. “Snapdragon Conquest” marks its “deep commitment” to the increased focus on mobile gaming in India. It is likely that the company wants to capitalize on the increasing popularity of smartphone gaming in the market. Qualcomm Snapdragon Conquest details

Qualcomm revealed that the Snapdragon Conquest tournament will include “multiple events throughout the year”. This will ensure that players can compete throughout the year, across multiple games. The tournament is designed to target smartphone gamers across “all segments” and skill level. As part of the Snapdragon Conquest, the company will hold “Free fire Open 2020” along with a prize pool of Rs 50 lakh. The title sponsor of the season is Garena “Free Fire”, an increasingly popular Battle Royale game.

Qualcomm will also hold live broadcasts of the games along with player livestreams. These will offer “aspiring gamers” a chance to learn and increase their skills. Vice President of Qualcomm India, Rajen Vagadia also issued a statement as part of the announcement. Vagadia stated, 'India is a mobile-first industry. The phenomenal rise of mobile gaming in India is driving not just the demand for better devices in the industry but also the need for a richer ecosystem and more diverse opportunities for mobile gamers. The Snapdragon brand is known for delivering superior gaming experiences.”

Vagadia went on to state, ”Our work with the larger ecosystem of OEMs, game developers, and publishers, is helping us learn and provide an upgraded gaming experience across multiple price tiers. We are really excited about the launch of Snapdragon Conquest, our new gaming program.
