Ubisoft has just announced its next Forward event as part of the virtual E3 2021 coming this June. As per the announcement, Ubisoft Forward 2021 will follow a digital format showcasing the latest we can expect from Ubisoft. Interested gamers can catch the live stream at 12:30 AM IST on June 13. The company did not outline the games that may surface during the event. However, we can expect some information around the previously announced (and delayed) Far Cry 6 and Riders Republic. Besides anticipated information about Far Cry 6 and Riders Republic, we may also see new updates for its existing games. These likely include Rainbow Six Siege, The Division 2, Hyper Scape, and more. Talking about Far Cry 6, it is likely that Ubisoft may showcase official gameplay around the game. For some context, the company showcased new gameplay for one of its latest AAA video game titles, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla last year. The game developer and publisher may also release teasers around its much-anticipated Star Wars title at the event.

Sayed Abbas is the new MD for Ubisoft India Studios

Focusing on the second announcement from Ubisoft, its Indian development studio got a new Managing Director. As noted above, the company has appointed Sayed Abbas as the new Managing Director for Ubisoft India Studios. Abbas has been with the Pune studio since its launch back in 2008. Since then, he has worked as a Producer, Production Director, and Deputy Managing Director. Besides these roles, he also established and then managed “the console production team in India”.

As part of the announcement, Abbas also issued a statement, “I am honored to be appointed as the new Managing Director of Ubisoft India Studios. The teams at both Ubisoft Pune and Mumbai are passionate and motivated when it comes to developing video games. They are skillful, versatile, and rank among the best in the country in terms of expertise. I am looking forward to building on this foundation of creative excellence and make contributions to Ubisoft’s global lineup.”
