Game developer and publisher Ubisoft has just shared some new information regarding one of its latest AAA video game franchise. The company outlined the timeline for a major feature release for Watch Dogs Legion from its Watch Dogs franchise. As per the announcement, the company will bring the multiplayer mode for the game in “early 2021”. Ubisoft has released multiple updates for the game since the launch to fix bugs along with quality-of-life improvements. Watch Dogs Legion multiplayer mode details
The company shared the details about the future of the game in its second “State of the Game” update. According to this update, future updates will come with bug fixes and improvements. However, “most” will focus on adding more content to Watch Dogs Legion. Ubisoft stated that it wanted to focus on some of the pending player issues before shifting its resources. It has worked rigorously to address the game stability issues, performance issues on the PC including 60GPS with “appropriate GPUs”, and more. Ubisoft has also ensured that it has rolled out fixes for the save game corruption on Xbox and PlayStation consoles Now, after rolling out multiple updates, the company feels that this is the time to shift its priority to content.
As part of shifting the priority, the company will now work on the online, multiplayer version of the game. The announcement noted that the development team is working on “testing the Online experience”. This testing will ensure that the multiplayer mode is “smooth and polished” for the launch.
Ubisoft re-iterated what we can expect from the multiplayer mode in the game. Checking the description of this upcoming mode, Watch Dogs: Legion Multiplayer mode will allow one to team up with three of their friends to explore the “near-future London”. This mode will also come with new missions along with the first “Tactical Op” along with a PVP mode and the Spiderbot arena. Ubisoft also hinted at some “surprises” coming our way along with new playable content. However, it did not reveal an exact date for the launch of the multiplayer mode. Instead, the company promised to share “more information” about the exact date and the Story DLC in 2021.
