It was announced on July 6, alongside advance information regarding the movie's theater release. The film is rated PG-12.

The Infinity Castle release will be a milestone for the series, as it is set to open in 452 theaters throughout Japan. That consists of 393 ordinary screens and 59 IMAX theaters, the largest opening the franchise has ever had. Furthermore, 24 special theaters in 11 various prefectures will feature special midnight screenings. Sotozaki Once Again Directs, Ufotable Animates

It is directed by Haruo Sotozaki, who has directed all the major series in the anime adaptation, such as the Mugen Train film and the TV series. Animation is again provided by studio Ufotable, which is famous for its action-packed visual style and powerful action sequences.

Infinity Castle continues as the Demon Slayer Corps finishes their Hashira Training, a disciplined regimen meant to ready the best demon killers for their most perilous quest so far. But before they are able to regroup fully, the demon lord Muzan Kibutsuji suddenly appears at the Ubuyashiki Mansion, threatening the Corps' leader and the organization in an instant.

Tanjiro and Hashira Prepare for Final Battle Within Demon Stronghold

While Tanjiro and the Hashira hurry to defend the base, Muzan unleashes his power to pull them into a mysterious, otherworldly realm. This is the Infinity Castle—the core of the demons' world and the stage of the final battle.

With the Corps besieged in the enemy's fortress, the climactic confrontation is now on. The movie signals the start of the last leg of the Demon Slayer narrative, and anticipation is keen for action and emotional resolution.
