Fantasy Comedy Anime Announced: The Demon King's Daughter Premieres in 2026

It’s now official The Demon King's Daughter is Too Kind!! is getting an anime, and it will air in 2026. The news came out today with a new website, teaser trailer, and visual. Fans saw it for the first time, and it looks fun, cute, and a bit strange in a good way.

We already know the main cast. Misaki Kuno is voicing Dou, the kind-hearted demon girl who doesn’t really act like a demon. Ayaka Ohashi will voice Jahi, the helper who’s trying to make Dou act more like a real demon. Akio Otsuka will play Ahriman, and Shigeru Chiba will be the narrator. It's a solid lineup with voices people might recognize from other big shows.

This one’s being animated by EMT Squared, same studio that did My Deer Friend Nokotan. The Director is Masahiko Ota, while Takashi Aoshima is doing the series composition—he worked on Beast Tamer before. The character designs are by Yuki Nakano (from Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear), and the music is by Yasuhiro Misawa, who also worked on HINAMATSURI. It’s kind of a fun crew, honestly.

What’s This Even About?

Dou is the Demon King’s daughter, but she’s not scary at all. Instead of doing evil stuff, she’s nice to everyone—monsters, slaves, even angels. It makes her dad, who’s supposed to be the king of all demons, kinda confused. He’s too busy looking after her to focus on taking over the world. Jahi, his assistant, doesn’t like that. So, he starts giving Dou some “demon training.” But the funny part is, each test just makes her even kinder. Not really going as planned!
