Lord of Mysteries Anime Premieres June 28 on Crunchyroll With English Dub
Lord of Mysteries debuts June 28 on Crunchyroll with a double-episode premiere, featuring multiple language dubs and a thrilling steampunk fantasy world

Lord of the Mysteries is finally getting it's own anime version. Well, since it's a Chinese animation, we call it a donghua. The release date is June 28, and it’s going to stream on Crunchyroll. First day is dropping two episodes together, kinda like a double premiere, which is pretty cool actually.
The animation work is being done by B.C. May PICTURES studio. They've done some good shows before, so fans is expecting quite a lot. The visuals already look pretty sharp, and they match that dark, mysterious vibe the story’s known for.
Now here’s what’s nice for international fans — it’s not just in Chinese with subtitles. They’ve also said it’ll have English, Latin American Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese dubs right at launch. Later on, they added more languages like Japanese, German, French, and Korean.
The new trailer even showed us short clips of each dub version. Some of them sound pretty solid already, but of course, we’ll have to wait to see how it all feels with the full episodes and everything.
The Story (No Spoilers)
The anime is based on a Chinese web novel written by Cuttlefish That Loves Diving. It was a huge deal in China and ran from 2018 to 2020. People liked the world-building and the mix of stuff. In the show, the main guy Zhou Mingrui wakes up and realizes he’s now Klein Moretti, living in a steampunk kinda world filled with weird stuff. He got caught between strange powers and has to survive in a place full of secrets, scary groups, and some really weird abilities. It’s got mystery, some science bits, and a lot of supernatural things going on.

This Universe is Just Getting Bigger
Because the original novel was a big success, the author had already started the sequel, called Lord of Mysteries 2: Circle of Inevitability. It had a different main character this time — Lumian Lee. This one is supposed to go even deeper into the whole lore, maybe even tie back to events from the first one.
All in all, Lord of the Mysteries feels like it can be one of the standout donghua this year. The story’s smart, the animation has that dark, moody look, and you can tell they put effort into it. And now that so many dub languages are available, fans from different places can enjoy it too. So mark June 28 on your calendar — this one’s worth a shot!
