My Hero Academia: The Hidden Strength of Yosetsu Awase from Class 1-B

Yosetsu Awase’s Weld Quirk in My Hero Academia proves that smart strategy and precision can outshine raw power in the hands of the right hero

In My Hero Academia, all people have Quirks, those powerful things, and lots of them want to be heroes. So, that’s the reason U.A. High is there; it’s where the top students trained to get hero licenses. Most of the time, everyone only talks about Class 1-A because they’re the main ones or something. But then there’s this other guy, Yosetsu Awase from Class 1-B, who kind of just gets skipped over. Still, his Quirk is called Weld; it’s actually kind of good. It lets him stick stuff together real solid, and folks don’t even notice that much.

Weld sounds more like a tool than a superpower. Still, it’s actually clever. Yosetsu can stick any two things together: people, objects, metal, doesn’t matter as long as he’s touching both. He doesn’t need to know what things are made of. His Quirk just does it on its own.

It’s not a big flashy move, but it's scary and effective. Remember the time during the Joint Training Battle when he used his special move, Construction-Done-Kwik: Weldcraft, to trap Bakugo. He didn’t just catch Bakugo; he put metal rods between him and the wall and stuck them together right away. Bakugo had to be rescued.

More Useful Than You’d Think

Weld isn’t the strongest Quirk. It won’t blast buildings apart or shoot fire or whatever. But if you look close, it’s actually kind of amazing in fights and emergencies. He can secure areas, stop enemies without hurting them, and even fix things on the fly.

Also, people forget that he ranked 10th in the U.A. Entrance Exam. That’s better than a bunch of 1-A students. He’s not just smart; he’s calm and knows how to act in tough spots.

Yosetsu doesn’t talk big or try to steal the show. But whenever he gets a chance, he shows he’s really good. In a loud world full of action, it’s nice to see someone do their job quietly without needing attention.

Weld isn’t about showing off; it’s about control, support, and smart thinking. And that’s exactly why Yosetsu Awase deserves way more respect.
