Wistoria: Wand and Sword Season 2 is set for a 2026 release, celebrating its first anniversary with a new visual and returning cast and staff
'Wistoria: Wand and Sword' anime is finally coming back for a second season. They said it’s releasing in 2026, right around the same time the first season began. It’s kind of a big deal since the show first aired on July 7, 2024, and now they even released one new visual made by the manga artist Toshi Aoi. That’s for the one-year celebration, of course.
Right after Season 1 ended, the second was announced already in production. First, people didn’t really talk about it, but slowly the anime gained fans and appeared on some weekly top rankings. It ranked 9th, then 5th, which is nice progress.
Staff and Voice Cast Brings It All Together
Season one was made by Actas and Bandai Namco Pictures. Tatsuya Yoshihara was the director, and the animation looked clean and well done. The producer even said this team was the best he had ever worked with — which is a big compliment.
Main character Will Serfort is voiced by Kohei Amasaki. Then Akira Sekine does Elfaria, and you got Satomi Amano as Colette. There’s also Lynn, Aoi Inase, and others rounding out the cast. It’s a pretty decent lineup of voices, to be honest.
A Story About No Magic But Big Dreams
The manga was made by Fujino Omori, the same guy who created Danmachi. Toshi Aoi did the art. It’s been running since 2020 in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine, and there’s already 12 volumes released. Volume 9 (for English readers) is coming on July 9, 2025. You can find the series from Kodansha USA, and Crunchyroll is streaming it.
The anime is about Will Serfort who has no magic at all, still he studies at a magic academy. His goal is to become Magia Vander, which is like the highest rank of mages, just to meet again with Elfaria, his friend from before. Most don’t treat him nice, but he’s not giving up.
So yeah, Wistoria Season 2 is on the way, and for fans of underdog stories—it’s probably one to keep watching.
