WITCH WATCH Cour 2 Confirmed for Summer 2025 with New Trailer and Cast

WITCH WATCH coming back again. The second cour of the anime will continue in Summer 2025, and they already showed a teaser trailer and visual for it. Things look like it’s going to get a little more serious but still have that fun vibe. There will be some new people, and some changes, but also the same energy from before.

Bibury Animation Studios is doing the animation again. They also made The Quintessential Quintuplets and a few more shows, so they know what they are doing. Hiroshi Ikehata is also coming back as director. He has been with the anime since before, and his direction fits this type of story—funny but also deep sometimes.

They said two new characters are coming. Yuki Wakai is going to be Miharu Kiryu, and he’s a vampire. Maybe it means some bad things are going to happen. Yohei Azakami will voice Rui Fujiki, but not much was shared about him. Still, new faces usually bring twists.

With new characters, there’s always a chance of the story getting more complex, or maybe even some relationship drama. Fans might like that.

Fresh Music for WITCH WATCH Cour 2

The opening theme for the second cour is by HashiMelo, and the ending one will be from yutori. They didn’t show full songs yet, but they said the songs will match the new story tone. First cour’s music was kinda catchy, so hopefully this one too.

They posted a teaser visual, too. It shows the main characters, and the mood feels a bit different. Looks like the story might go a little deeper now, not just jokes and fun stuff. Still magical, but maybe a little more emotional too.

Story Based on Ongoing Manga

The anime is based on the WITCH WATCH manga by Kenta Shinohara, which started in 2021 in Weekly Shonen Jump. It’s also available in English from VIZ Media. The plot is about Morihito, who is from an ogre family, and Nico, his witch friend from childhood. He has to protect her because of a scary prophecy. She got a big crush on him, but he’s too serious and focused on guarding her. So yeah, romance is not going smoothly.

With new characters coming in, a slightly serious-looking visual, and updated music, WITCH WATCH Cour 2 is shaping into something fans should keep an eye on. The laughs will still be there, probably, but this time, it also might go deeper. Summer 2025 is looking pretty magical already.
