Electronic Arts has just confirmed that it is working on a Battlefield 6 reveal event for the next month. This information comes just days after the company teased about a showcase event. EA confirms Battlefield 6 showcase for June 2021 while asking for patience
According to the latest information available, EA has not revealed the official date for the showcase event. However, the publisher will drop more information throughout the season to preview the future of the Battlefield franchise. This comes days after the company teased that it would reveal new details around the game “soon”. Andrew Wilson, the EA CEO also revealed that the company will bring the game to the last-gen consoles in the market. It means that the upcoming game won’t be limited to the Xbox Series X, Series S, and PlayStation 5 lineup.
We also got to know that the game is set to release in the third quarter of the financial year. The third quarter starts on October 1 and concludes on December 1, 2021. It is in line with the past release timeline of “holiday 2021”. EA has already teased that the next version of the game will feature “all-out military warfare” of “Epic scale”. As previously noted, two screenshots from the likely reveal trailer of the title have already leaked online. We already know that the company is also working on a Battlefield mobile title to bring the game to phones.
Finally, Andy McNamara, the communications director at EA also asked Battlefield fans for some patience regarding the reveal. This comes right after fans criticized EA around the delay of the teaser information with calls to sack Andy. Fans responded to the request outlining the teaser Battlefield Twitter account posted on April 22 with the text “soon”.
