FIFA 23 has an easter egg where Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney troll Liverpool, calling them a "tiny club" from a "tiny town"

FIFA 23 was released back in September 2022 and just went through the FIFA World Cup promo event last month. While that sounds great on paper, there have been several FUT market crashes since the release, that many fans believe have already rendered the market ineffective and dead. Regardless, EA is at work trying to bring new and exciting cards for FIFA players to try out and add to their Ultimate team to make their teams stronger and importantly, faster.

Ultimate Team is invariably the most popular game mode in FIFA 23. Naturally, the kick-off mode is also hugely popular among friends who hop on to challenge their friends in some good-old 90 minutes action. 

FIFA 23 easter eggs contains Ryan Reynolds talking trash about Liverpool and Stockport County

EA has added a rather interesting easter egg in FIFA whenever players match up Wrexham AFC against Liverpool. Wrexham AFC is owned by Hollywood’s very own Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. 

The obvious reason why this particular easter egg took this long to be discovered is that no one is actually heading to kick off to have a match between the two sides. Finally, one user did end up playing that match and also did not skip the opening scenes of the match.

Interestingly, there’s another Ryan and Rob commentary bit in FIFA 23. When you play Wrexham AFC against Stockport County, you hear the co-owners talking about the dramatic rivalry between the two sides and encouraged listeners to talk trash about Stockport County.  

 

 

It's likely that there are more FIFA 23 easter eggs when it comes to Ryan Reynolds and Rob since the duo could have been brought on to add more witty lines than just for these two instances.
