Marvel Snap x Fantastic Four: New Update Brings Movie-Themed Cards & More

  • July 10, 2025 (UPDATED: July 10, 2025 10:59 IST)

Marvel Snap teams up with the MCU in the Fantastic Four: First Steps season featuring Pedro Pascal’s Mister Fantastic and new gameplay.

Marvel Snap serves a collection of interim theater experiences when they open their new season Fantastic Four: First Steps. The new seasons are themed around the previous upcoming MCU theatrical release Amazing Four film and includes a lot of new game mechanics, changes to previous cards, and a limited-time mode. This special seasonal update combines the game play strategy with the storytelling aspect of comic books.

About the Crossover & Revamped Fantastic Four Cards

Marvel Snap ties in with the MCU release through its Fantastic Four: First Steps season, which is already live from July 8, 2025.

Crossover has Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards (Mister Fantastic) at the front of the game. His game variant, Mister Fantastic: Fantastic 4 First Steps, introduces a new ability - "End of Turn: Give a card in your hand -1 Cost or +2 Power." It adds a new End of Turn mechanic group, giving more depth to play beyond "On Reveal" and "Ongoing" decks.

The Fantastic Four have been in-game before, but this season brings them back with film-style variants and new effects:

  • H.E.R.B.I.E. (2/3): Support unit with shifting effects per turn. Random until it goes off.

  • Human Torch (3/2): +1 Power each end of turn. Once per match, if the field is full, doubles Power.

  • The Thing (5/6): Gains +2 Power every turn. If your side is full, destroy a weaker enemy card one time.

  • Invisible Woman: Doubles End of Turn effects during the turn she activates. Enables combo chains.

New Limited-Time Mode & Extra Characters

The new Grand Arena mode adds a draft-style format, kind of like Hearthstone’s Arena. You pick a Champion and power at the start. Matches stay even, more balanced than the old Sanctum Showdown mode. Alongside the main team, new faces join the lineup:

  • Fantasticar: Helps move cards and set up support combos.

  • Mole Man: Uses swarm cards to mess with the other side.

  • Mad Thinker: Based on timing and reads, good for counterplay.

This update mixes the game with the film promo. It’s good for players into comics, MCU, or card games. The whole thing makes for a tight season.
