Sony Celebrates 15 Years of PS Plus with Freebies; Check Details

PlayStation Plus is now officially 15 years old. What started back in 2010 as a way to offer free games and some extra features for PlayStation users has grown into a regular part of gaming for many. To mark this anniversary, Sony is offering a mix of time-limited game discounts, free online multiplayer access, and three new downloadable titles coming in July 2025. There’s also a few extra benefits thrown in just for PS Plus members. Here’s everything included in the 15th anniversary update.

Availability Anniversary Subscriber Perks

From June 27 to June 29, PS Plus users will be able to see some limited-time deals on the PlayStation Store. The full list is coming soon, but early previews point to discounts on Sniper Elite: Resistance, Sid Meier’s Civilization VII, and Star Wars Outlaws. Worth checking if any of these have been on your list.

As part of the celebration, Sony is adding a few more benefits for PS Plus members:

• Game Trials: Premium users can test out WWE 2K25 and Monster Hunter Wilds for a short time.

• Valorant Cosmetic Pack: Some in-game items available if your Valorant and PSN accounts are linked.

• Sony Pictures Core Deal: Save on movies and shows from the Sony platform.

• Free Multiplayer Weekend: No subscription required to play online between June 28–30.

• PlayStation Tournaments: New events where players can compete in skill-based challenges.

PS Plus July 2025 Free Games

From July 1, PS Plus subscribers can access these three games:

• Diablo 4 (PS5, PS4): Blizzard’s RPG with active development and content drops.

• The King of Fighters XV (PS5, PS4): A traditional fighter that’s been tuned for head-to-head play.

• Jusant (PS5): A quiet game focused on climbing and interaction with the environment.

All titles are playable as long as your PS Plus membership stays active. With 15 years behind it, PlayStation Plus is still changing and adding value for its users.
