Zenless Zone Zero: Exploring Hugo’s Myriad Eclipse W-Engine Guy

HoYoverse unveils Hugo Vlad's signature W-Engine—Myriad Eclipse—in Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.7. With Crit boosts, DEF shred, and Ice synergy, it’s a game-changer for Hugo and Ellen alike.

HoYoverse officially revealed the signature W-Engine of Hugo Vlad—the Myriad Eclipse—as Zenless Zone Zero was halfway through its Version 1.7 update; the highly anticipated Ice S-Rank character would be on the roster from May 14, bringing with him some very high-powered offensive prowess.

Myriad Eclipse: A Crit-Focused Offensive Machine

The Myriad Eclipse W-Engine aims to boost Crit damage and Ice abilities. Fully levelled at Level 60, it offers:

Base ATK: 713.
Sub-Stat: +24% Crit Rate.

Its special effect, False Personas, grants 45% increased Crit DMG. When the user deals Ice damage with an EX Special Attack, Chain Attack, or Ultimate, they will proc an Absolute Zero Death Sentence for 3 seconds. This special effect allows the user to ignore 25% of the enemy's DEF, making it a huge damage amp.

Not Just for Hugo–Ellen Could Shine, Too

While Myriad Eclipse is made for Hugo, it may also serve as an upgrade for some of the other Ice units in the game. An S-Rank Ice user of Version 1.0, Ellen may gain some extra benefit from the W-Engine. She certainly can take great advantage of the stat increase as well as the DEF shred with her high mobility and Crit-based Ice attacks.

Version 2.0 and New Characters: Looking Ahead

Hugo's arrival sets the monumental Version 2.0 for a sizeable expansion of the game that includes:

A new district: Waifei Peninsula.
The beginning of the game's second major story arc.
Three new playable characters: Yixuan, Pan Yinhu, and Ju Fufu.

With Hugo, a new powerful W-Engine, and a major story expansion, Zenless Zone Zero is certainly looking forward to an exciting future. It is indeed a good time to get in if you have been around for a while or if you are a fresh recruit to the Proxy Network.
