Akaza’s Comeback Explained in Demon Slayer: Final Trilogy Starts

Demon Slayer’s Infinity Castle movie debuts in Japan, featuring Akaza’s comeback and his long-awaited clash with Tanjiro in the final arc

The new Demon Slayer movie, Infinity Castle, has already come out in Japan, but other countries are still waiting. This is just part one from the last trilogy, which is going to finish the whole anime series. Fans had been waiting for this for a long time.

But right now the big talk is Akaza is back again. That same demon who fought Rengoku in the Mugen Train Arc and defeated him badly. Even Rengoku died in that fight, but he still managed to save all the passengers and also Tanjiro. So, in one way, his mission was done. That part still make people emotional even now.

After that arc, Akaza didn’t have much of a role. He just came in small bits, not much happening. But now, in Infinity Castle, he’s getting major screentime again. This time he faced Tanjiro in a very serious battle. It’s not only between them two, though. They said someone else will join the fight too, but it is not clear yet.

Akaza’s Voice Actor Said It Was Tough This Time

At the Japan release event, many voice actors were present. Akira Ishida, who is voice of Akaza, also came. He shared how it was harder this time to do Akaza’s voice. “Before, in the Mugen Train, Akaza was just very strong, so that energy helped me,” Ishida said.

But now, it feels more challenging. “Akaza has not changed so much in personality,” he explained, “but the enemies he is facing now are stronger, so pressure was more.”

Akaza is not just like any bad demon. He lives to fight, truly. He does not kill only for fun or food like other demons do. He has respect for strong peoples, even Rengoku, he likes him. And he doesn't use magic, he fights with martial arts, very rare for demons.

Before, he did not think much about Tanjiro, just some loud boy. But now in this movie, something changed. In the trailer, he look eager to fight him. His face shows that. This film is not only all fight scenes. It goes deep inside Akaza’s thinking. There is feeling, honor, and something very personal.
