Anime Expo 2025 Brings Fresh Anime, Fan Favorites, and First Looks
All the major anime reveals, trailers, and premieres were announced at Anime Expo 2025 in Los Angeles.
Anime Expo 2025 concluded now in Los Angeles on July 6, following four days of plenty of trailers, news announcements, and early plays of episodes. Before it even kicked off in earnest, Day 0 had already started the hype with CyberAgent hosting Project M, a fresh anime that ain't had a lot yet other than a teaser image.
MAPPA also released a full trailer for Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc and made people go wild. And then Ghost in the Shell returned with fresh anime worked on by Science SARU, and Hajime Sorayama did its logo. Gachiakuta presents the first two episodes, and it appears to be the next big Shonen.
On the other side, GeeXPlus made a whole new studio group called GeeXProductions. They bring in anime from Gigguk (Bâan), DillonGoo (Soul Mart), and OtakuVS (Otachan), all created projects. Paru Itagaki’s SANDA also showed Episode 1 early, and Titan Manga says the manga English version gonna drop on September 2, 2025.
Old Series Also Come Back With Fresh Update
Fan-favorite anime also receives some major comeback yells. BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War reveals a new key visual for Part 4: The Calamity. It received new characters as well that weren't in the manga. Staff mention even veteran readers gonna discover new things inside.
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run revealed the complete main staff list. David Production is doing it again, and directors Yasuhiro Kimura and Hideya Takahashi will be at the helm. Frieren: Beyond Journey's End Season 2 released a teaser and mentions the January 2026 release. Crunchyroll gonna stream it.
Re: ZERO Season 4, Black Clover Season 2, and Mushoku Tensei Season 3 also return soon, all to Crunchyroll once more. In the meantime, TOHO Animation presents a special panel for JUJUTSU KAISEN. Voice actors Junya Enoki and Megumi Ogata attended and reported voice recording was already underway. The Culling Game sequel is now in the making. They report Yuji and Choso are battling Yuta, and it's going to get crazy with Katana and all.
Some have sequels, and Others Are Just Beginning
Very few new titles appear too. CYBERPUNK: EDGERUNNERS 2 was revealed on July 4, and a teaser appeared on next day. Crunchyroll adds that it also streams Classroom of the Elite Season 4 and Kaiju No. 8 Season 2, for which they previewed the first episode and performed voice acting on the spot.

Gen Urobuchi’s Eisen Flügel dropped a new trailer. Still no date, but it’s coming.
BEASTARS is going into the final season now.
Others like The Vermillion Mask, BLADE & BASTARD, and Holy Grail of Eris got listed too.

Anime Expo 2025 has become a big showcase again, mixing new ideas and famous series together. Fans left with a full watchlist and lotta things to wait through 2026.
