The anime Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra: World Conquest Starts with the Civilization of Ruin is almost here. Before the actual broadcast on July 6, they dropped a brand new trailer. That trailer shows more scenes from the anime and also tells about new characters and songs. It gives a kind of creepy but also interesting feeling.

A big update is that Akira Sekine is joining as Soarina, who’s called “Saint of Flower Funeral.” Maybe not everyone knows her name, but she voiced Lilisa in Rock is a Lady’s Modesty, so fans of that show will maybe notice. Soarina looks like an important character with some mystery around her.

They also put the ending theme song in this trailer. The song is called “more than W” and Takuma Terashima sings it. The voice and melody feels soft but also kind of lonely. Probably fits the story’s heavy mood.

The Team Making the Show

The anime is being made by Maho Film, same studio who has done other fantasy shows. Yuji Yanase is the director. He also worked on By the Grace of the Gods. The scripts are written by Kunihiko Okada and Yuka Yamada, both having experience with similar types of anime.

Kaho Deguchi is designing the characters, and she did similar work in In the Land of Leadale. Music is composed by Kujira Yumemi and Midori Narikiyo, and it looks like they are aiming for something that sounds fantasy but with darker mood.

The anime comes from a light novel series written by Fehu Kazuno, and the illustrations are by Jun. The story mixes strategy games, fantasy world, and strange alliances.

What is the Story About?

It’s about a boy named Takuto Ira, who used to play a strategy game called Eternal Nations. He was one of the top players. But one day, while in hospital, he blacks out and wakes up in another world that looks just like the game.

He meets Atou, his favorite unit from the game. They both begin to create an empire together, but it’s not like a normal happy one. They build Mynoghra, a place built with destruction and dark power. Takuto is not exactly saving the world. He is doing something else. It’s more like a plan for control, not peace.
