The Black Butler -Emerald Witch Arc- anime is nearing a crucial turning point as it prepares to air its ninth episode. To build excitement, the official anime accounts recently unveiled a new trailer. The series continues to be supervised by Kenjiro Okada, who has worked on March Comes in Like a Lion. The animation continues to be done by CloverWorks. Series composition is overseen by Hiroyuki Yoshino, known for his work on World Trigger. Character designs are led by Yumi Shimizu, who was the chief animation director for Horimiya.

Black Butler started as a manga by Yana Toboso, published in 2006 in Square Enix's Monthly GFantasy. To date, Japan has released 34 volumes, with an English version from Yen Press. The anime is on Crunchyroll, and you can watch the entire series.
The tale follows Ciel Phantomhive, a boy of noble English heritage with a tragic past. Ciel made a frenzied pact after witnessing the murder of his parents and unbearable torture. He trades his soul to summon a demon, Sebastian, who becomes his devoted butler. Together, they operate in London’s dark underworld, seeking revenge and justice against those who spread evil.
