Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill Season 2 Set for October 2025

Mukoda’s cooking skill stirs magic and adventure in a fantasy world.

The popular fantasy anime Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill is now officially back for a second season, with a premiere date of October 2025. Earlier today teaser trailer announced the release period and a new cast member: Dora-chan, whose voice will be provided by Ayumu Murase, known for his role as Kage in Ranking of Kings.

The anime still follows the light novel series by Ren Eguchi and illustrations by Masa. Production for the new series is still under studio MAPPA, the acclaimed animation production company behind some of the biggest hits. Kiyoshi Matsuda, known for his work on RE-MAIN and Uchitama?! Have You Seen My Tama?, will once again direct. Scripting is handled by Michiko Yokote, with character design by Nao Otsu.

The novel traces the adventures of Mukoda Tsuyoshi, a regular office employee, who finds himself transported to a fantasy world by accident in the middle of a summoning ceremony to materialize great heroes. Mukoda possesses no special fighting ability, but he finds that he has a strange and valuable talent—Online Grocery. With this talent, he can bring food products from contemporary Japan, which, when prepared and consumed in the new world, unleash quite extraordinary powers. 
 
 
His cooking creations soon gained the interest of locals, mythical beings, and even gods. What began as an error became a food-filled adventure and a surprise rise to fame.
 
Music for next season will once more be provided by Masato Koda, Kana Utatane, and the Kuricorder Quartet, and they will continue to keep the same tried and quirky sound fans have grown to adore.
