DAN DA DAN Season 2 Drops Two New Trailers Ahead of July 3 Release
DAN DA DAN Season 2 premieres July 3 with two new trailers teasing romance, battles, and theme songs by WurtS and AiNA THE END—stream on Netflix and Crunchyroll

DAN DA DAN Season 2 is finally getting more closer now, and yeah, lot of things are already happening. They just dropped two trailers recently, and both have very different kind of vibes. The first one it’s called “Friendship & Love,” and honestly it’s kinda cute. You can see Momo and Okarun getting more close—not only fighting ghosts anymore, but it looks like real feelings are starting too. They even showed some scenes at school with Aira and Jiji, it was like chill moments fans might enjoy.
Also, the ending song comes in this one—“Doukashiteru” by WurtS. That title means something like “Something’s Wrong With Him or Her?” which sounds funny but also bit meaningful. The music fits well with the romantic mood, to be honest. It’s soft and kind of dreamy, feels good for that part of story.
Second Trailer Goes Full Action Mode
Now the second trailer? Total shift. It's named “Occult & Battle,” and that tells you everything already. More ghosts, more curses, more explosions—classic DAN DA DAN. The opening theme “On the Way” by AiNA THE END is what plays here, and it’s got more of an intense tone. The trailer really wants to remind us, yeah, this show gets crazy.
Science SARU is animating again, which is great because they have a fun and strange style. Abel Góngora comes back as director, but this time he's also working with Fuga Yamashiro. Hiroshi Seko still doing the series structure, and Naoyuki Onda is in charge of how everyone looks. So, kind of the same team, but also adding something new maybe?
Familiar Cast and Where It All Started
Voice actors are the same too. Natsuki Hanae is back as both Jiji and Okarun (dude is busy!), and Shion Wakayama is again voicing Momo. Other names like Nana Mizuki and Mayumi Tanaka are back too. You’ll be able to watch Season 2 on both Crunchyroll and Netflix, just like the first one.
And don’t forget, the manga was made by Yukinobu Tatsu, who started it in 2021 on Shonen Jump+. It’s about Momo, who’s from a family of spirit people, and Ken (a.k.a. Okarun), who believes in aliens and the weird stuff. He ends up cursed and gets powers. It’s wild but also sweet sometimes. That’s kind of why fans love it.
Recently, they also did some interviews with the voice actors. We got to hear from Shion Wakayama (Momo) and also the English dub cast: Abby Trott, AJ Beckles, and Aleks Le. Everyone seems super into the new season and happy about where the show is going. You can tell they care about their roles.
Honestly, this season looks like it’ll have more of everything. More action, more feelings, more mystery. The trailers are showing two sides of the same story, which makes it more interesting. Whether you like the creepy stuff or the love story, there’s something in it for you.
So yeah, mark the date—July 3. DAN DA DAN is coming back and it looks like it’s gonna be a fun ride.
