Demon Slayer: Hinokami Chronicles 2 Reveals Dual Combos in New Game Trailers

Demon Slayer: Hinokami Chronicles 2 reveals new Dual Ultimate combos in gameplay trailers.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Hinokami Chronicles 2 is currently releasing some gameplay trailers that highlight the Dual Ultimate combos. It allows two characters to perform a powerful attack in unison. Various different pairings of characters are featured, such as Tanjiro and Nezuko, or Giyu and Shinobu, even Kyojuro and Tengen, which people do not anticipate.

This gameplay aspect provides special team actions and new animations, with a lot of them being anime battle scene-like. An example is Inosuke and Zenitsu battling Daki and Tanjiro, and Kyojuro taking on Akaza. There are also weird ones like Murata and Shinobu that provide some comedic moments.

A large trailer, the third one, has announced that the game will release globally on August 5, 2025. However, if you purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition, you can play ahead of time on August 1. That is the same release time as Japan. The game will release on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.

Numerous Pairs and Surprise Combinations Get Fans Ready for Summer Release

Up till now, game shows these Dual Ultimate combinations:

  • Tanjiro and Nezuko
  • Zenitsu and Inosuke
  • Giyu and Shinobu
  • Kyojuro and Tengen
  • Tanjiro and Genya
  • Sanemi and Obanai
  • Gyomei and Genya
  • Kanroji and Muichiro
  • Shinobu and Murata
  • Tanjiro and Kyojuro
  • Mitsuri and Obanai
  • Gyomei and Tanjiro (used in the training part)

All these duos have distinct moves and attitudes. Kanroji and Muichiro battle Gyokko, remembering from Swordsmith Village. Giyu and Shinobu battle Rui with silky animation. And the combination with Murata even includes him without clothes at the end, so it's a slightly comic feeling too.

This sequel game will arrive barely weeks after Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle anime debuts in Japan on July 18, 2025. Global anime release is set between August and September, which means a lot of exciting things to look forward to for fans during that period.
