Dragon Ball DAIMA Raises the Bar with Visual Brilliance, Fixing a Longstanding Franchise Flaw

Dragon Ball DAIMA revives the series with stunning visuals and a fresh animation style.

The Dragon Ball story keeps going strong through many years, with all them crazy fights, transformations, and funny moments. Dragon Ball Super tries to raise everything, bring gods and angels, going out to cosmic places, looking like it got all that fans ask for. But still, one thing keeps staying the same—its animation didn’t really change too much.

People have been saying Super had great animation, but when Dragon Ball DAIMA came out, it became more clear that something has always been missing. DAIMA, come and show how much better it can all look, maybe even what Super should’ve been doing all along.

Super Got Big Power But Not Enough Shine

Dragon Ball always changing style, from the early days of fun journeys, then turning more into fighting and deeper stories. Super did well by taking stuff higher—God of Destruction arc, Tournament of Power, Golden Frieza, all that. It’s strong, the fights are big, even destroy planets—but still, when you watch it, some moments don’t hit as hard as they could.

Even when scenes are full of energy and hype, the pictures just don’t match up right. The show felt like it had step forward after Z, but that was before we saw how DAIMA did it.

DAIMA Showed What Super Should Look Like

Dragon Ball DAIMA comes through as maybe the best-looking one yet. Toriyama goes back to his old tricks, mixing in some funny moments with a new art look that is super clean and bright. Animation not just looks better, it moves better too. Everything flows nicely, and I feel more alive.

It was only a small side story in the past, but the way DAIMA looks, it starts showing how the future of Dragon Ball could be. Even though Super is not finished yet, and more arcs still to come, you can tell now the old style ain’t gonna work anymore if they wanna keep fans in it.

Time to Give Super That Needed Change

New arcs like Moro and Granolah are gonna be serious. And if they use the same look from before, it might not be enough this time. The story deserves something fresher. If DAIMA can do that, then Super gotta step it up too.

It’s already been nearly ten years since the first Super episode came out. Back then, maybe the way it looked was fine.
