Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra brings 4v4 battles in a new free-to-play multiplayer game.
Dragon Ball already has enough things. Anime, manga, games—it just never ends. When Dragon Ball DAIMA finished up in February of 2025, the fans were wondering what would happen next. Now there is another game appearing, titled Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra. This one is different from the others. It's not a story. Just online play in groups.
Earlier, they used to say its name was Dragon Ball Project: Multi, but now they say the actual name is on 6 June 2025. It's team vs team—4 players for each. It's a fighting game, not an adventure or mission.
Select Character But Need to Think Proper
Here, you are playing with Dragon Ball characters such as Goku, Piccolo, Cooler, Android 18, Gohan, Krillin, and others. Not just for entertainment, because they put in work. Three types: tank, damage, and technical. Tanks absorb lots of hits. Damage one's deal a hit. Technical support team, such as healing and buff items.
For instance, Vegeta is tank, Goku is damage. But only 4 individuals in a group, thus not easy to create an ideal combination. Better not just pick whom you love most, but also who is beneficial for the match.
Two Game Modes You Can Try
The primary game mode is similar—defeat the Gods of Destruction to capture Dragon Ball. The second mode is "Land Grab." That one, your group must occupy three locations on the map and maintain them. If you accomplish that, points are awarded. When 500 points are accumulated, you have won.
They also uploaded a trailer to YouTube from the Bandai Namco account. If you wish to know what occurs in the game, it is evident in that video.
How to Play and Where You Can Get It
This isn't a game about just one thing. It's releasing on Android, iOS, PS4, PS5, Switch, and Steam. Plus, it features crossplay, so individuals with various devices can play together. That's nice if friends don't share the same console.
One other thing—the game is free. You don't have to pay cash to begin. Perhaps you notice some things to purchase within, such as clothing or alternate attack appearances, but they don't increase your power. Just a cosmetic thing.
The complete date on which we are coming has not been declared yet. They have said maybe the end of 2025 or the early months of 2026. Waiting a bit more, then all players can attempt.
Test Time Ongoing
From 12 June to 16 June 2025, they will be conducting a Network Test. It is like a trial before the game comes out fully. Some players already had a chance to play. It assists in testing how the game is functioning.
