The official website for Otherworldly Munchkin: Let’s Speedrun the Dungeon with Only 1 HP! has released a fresh trailer and key visual, announcing the anime’s planned broadcast in October 2025. Alongside the new footage, the main voice cast and production team have been revealed.
Kazuki Ura will voice the protagonist Yukito Kirihara. Other confirmed cast members include Kana Yuki as Charlotte R. Brownia, Yui Ishikawa as Lumilia Sherwood, Kaori Maeda as Liverna Dark, Hika Tsukishiro as Sana Kirihara, Fukushi Ochiai as Rosinante, Ayasa Ito as Managarmr, Yoko Hikasa as Nephilia Curse, and Anri Katsu as the narrator.
Experienced Team Behind the Scenes
The series is led by Chief Director Mamoru Yokota, with Kei Yoshimizu and Naoya Fukushi serving as directors. Hiroshi Hosokawa manages series composition, while character design is handled by Mamoru Yokota and Yui Kato, who also act as chief animation director. Additional roles include Yurika Sako as sub character designer, Tengu Kobou as prop and creature designer, and Mayu Saitou as color designer. The art director is Masakazu Miyake, and Cre-p provides background art. CG direction is split between Yui Horiuchi and Ayuki Katayama. Other key staff include Shigeki Asakawa for photography, Nobutaka Maki as editor, Yasunori Ebina as sound director, and music composed by Asami Tachibana. The studio Durandal handles animation production, with collaboration from Wizards of the Coast.
Plot Overview
Adapted from the manga by Yu Shimizu and Aogiri Makoto, and published in English by Kodansha USA, in a story that follows 16-year-old Yukito Kirihara. He has a close relationship with his 14-year-old sister Sana. Yukito rushes to protect her but is killed. Offered a chance at reincarnation by a mysterious woman, he receives a character sheet revealing Sana’s presence within the same world. With only 1 HP to his name, Yukito embarks on a dangerous quest to rescue his sister and survive the dungeon.
