Frieza Comeback Animated by Fan While Dragon Ball Super Still No Return

Fan animates epic Frieza vs. Gas fight as Dragon Ball Super anime remains on a long break.

It has been too long since Dragon Ball Super anime stopped, back in 2018. Even if the manga is still going with them new arcs like Granolah stuff, fans got tired waiting. No episodes, no teasers, nothing. And while the show was sitting in quiet, one fan just went ahead and did what the studio didn't. They animated one of the biggest fights—Frieza vs. Gas—all by themselves.

That fight was major in the manga, fast and wild, with lots going on for Frieza’s story. Still, the show ain’t touched it. Now, this fan—called @DVINCHY_1 on X—put out a preview of the whole battle. It’s like something you’d think came straight from the actual anime. The animation ain’t just some hobby piece—it shows the full power of what fans still want and miss.

One Person Did What Studio Didn't

This animation looks way sharper than expected. It doesn’t just try to be like the anime; it goes past it in spots. The lines are clean, energy blasts flashing all over, and the punches feel real. Frieza’s Black form looks scary, moving slowly and heavily like he's full of power. Gas, on the other side, just going off like he ain't got limits.

Ways Frieza Is Dragon Ball

And what's different? The pace doesn’t slow. Unlike some real episodes where it takes five minutes just to throw a punch, this fight keeps rolling. There are no longer frames or random quiet. Every move counts. There are also tiny moments where the characters pause or show their face like Frieza smirking—those small things make it hit harder. And the crazy part? One person did it all alone. Not a big team.

Frieza Ain’t just a Villain Now, he's The Whole Threat

Back when the manga showed Black Frieza, fans were shocked. This animation brings that moment to life. Even if it's not in full color, the feel is all there. When Frieza shows up and just destroys Gas like he's nothing, it feels heavy. The light, the sound—it all makes that moment look even more intense than on paper.

This version of Frieza ain’t like before. He doesn’t yell, doesn’t rush. He calms. He is cold. He knows he is stronger than anybody. And that shows how much he changed. While we are all still waiting for Super to come back someday, this one fan showed us that love for Dragon Ball is still burning. And it might just take fans like that to keep it alive till it returns.
