How Zagred Was Defeated in Black Clover’s Shadow Palace Arc
The Shadow Palace arc of Black Clover was really something else. Zagred, that devil from the Spade Kingdom, had this Word Soul Magic where he just speaks, and things happen. For a long time he was hiding, using both elves and humans like puppets. But then finally all the stuff built up and a big final battle. It wasn't just one hero; many people helped to finish it.
Everybody Start Doing Their Part
One of the biggest helps was Yami Sukehiro. His Dark Magic, when it struck Zagred, gave a break, like an opening. At that moment, Asta jumped in. He came with the anti-magic sword, and then he hit the last shot. That’s how it ended.
But before that, others also do important things. Licht and Lemiel both use their magic with some plan. They distract Zagred well so others could try to land hits. Yuno's wind magic was very sharp, and his brain stayed steady during the fight. Even the Black Bulls, wow, they fought with everything. They looked like they wouldn’t stop.
Strong Magic Not Always Enough
Zagred’s magic was very big. He makes monsters appear from the air and then heal like nothing even touches him. But power alone doesn't always make you win. That fight was many people against one, and they showed that fighting together is something different. Strong alone is fine, but strong together is better.
What Asta did with anti-magic maybe that was the final piece. Maybe if he wasn’t there, Zagred would still be alive now. It told people in the Black Clover world that weird kinds of powers also have value. It’s not only about raw strength.

Asta hit last, but he didn't win alone. All the others helped so much. Humans and elves fighting side by side that’s rare. Almost never happens.
That fight wasn’t just about stopping one devil. It was about what came next too. Zagred falling down started something bigger. Still today, people think back to that moment as a time when unity really meant something.
