Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 is Coming and Some New Art Revealed
Kaiju No. 8 returns with the new season, fresh art, and Kafka's evolving monster powers.

Kaiju No. 8 will have Season 2 soon. The show is going to start in Japan on July 19, 2025. People who are not in Japan can still watch it because Crunchyroll will do the streaming for summer anime shows. Before the season comes, another new drawing comes out from the “Kaiju Hyakkei” collection. This is number twelve already. Those pictures show how people lead normal lives when monsters are just around, like a usual thing.
In these pictures, people are doing simple stuff like walking or working, but a big Kaiju are is in the background. That gives a strange, calm feeling like the monster is not in danger at that moment. These images help people feel more deeply in the world of the story, not only about the fight scenes.
Where to Watch Kaiju No. 8 Season 2?
The story comes from a manga made by Naoya Matsumoto. It is shared online by Shueisha on the Shonen Jump+ website. The English version is by VIZ Media, so more people in other countries can read it. The anime is being done at Production I.G studio, which has many nice works before too.
The directors are Shigeyuki Miya and Tomomi Kamiya. The person who wrote the full story plan is Ichiro Okouchi. The character drawing and animation boss is Tetsuya Nishio. The one who designed Kaiju is Mahiro Maeda. Shinji Kimura is making the art parts, and the music is by Yuta Bandoh. They all try to make the anime stay good like the manga.
Kafka’s Big Changes Happen
Kafka Hibino is the person the story follows. He is 32 years old, and his work is clean after the Kaiju attack sites. But in his heart, he still wants to join the Defense Force. He said that promised Mina Ashiro, who is now a very strong leader there. One day small Kaiju goes into Kafka’s body, and then he starts to become strong and different.
Now he tries to enter the Force, pass a test, and work hard with a team. Not easy for him to gain trust. Kaiju inside makes his body powerful, but also sometimes. This new season will show more of how Kafka handles this problem, and if he can still be human and follow his promise to.
