The anime adaptation of Mikadono Sanshimai wa Angai, Choroi is scheduled to premiere on July 9. Ahead of its debut, a new character trailer focuses on Kazuki Mikadono, the eldest sister in the story. Kazuki, voiced by Yurina Amami (Haruka Akane from Sorairo Utility), is represented as calm and princely. The trailer indicates a glimpse at what she is like when responding in her usual calm composure, but is now defensive, showing part of her character. It is a nice way of introducing the character and will allow an audience to become familiar with the lead character before the show starts.
Production Team and Manga Background
The anime is based on Aya Hirakawa’s manga, which has been running in Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine since December 2021. Studio P.A. Works is making the anime, led by director Tadahito Matsubayashi, who worked on VINLAND SAGA. The character designs are by Yusuke Inoue, who also worked on Skip and Loafer.
Plot Overview and Character Dynamics
The story follows Yu Ayase, a young man who moves in with the Mikadono family after his mother, a famous actor, passes away. Yu finds it hard to live up to his mother’s legacy. His life gets more complicated when he meets the three Mikadono sisters: Kazuki, a popular actor; Nico, a martial artist; and Miwa, a Shogi player. As the sisters start to like Yu, funny and romantic moments happen, making the story more interesting.
The new trailer gives fans a better look at Kazuki’s character and personality. It creates excitement for the series by showing some of the funny and emotional moments between Yu and the three sisters.
