From Manga Pages to the Big Screen
The story comes from a manga by Coolkyousinnjya, published in the Seinen magazine Manga Action by Futabasha. Seven Seas Entertainment publishes the English version for readers outside Japan.
Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid first gained popularity through its anime adaptation, now streamed globally by Crunchyroll. The series blends comedy, fantasy, and daily life with a heartfelt twist.
A Calm Life Changed Suddenly
At the heart of the story is Miss Kobayashi, a regular office worker living alone in a small apartment. Her quiet life changes when she helps a dragon in trouble. That dragon, Tohru, transforms into a human-like girl and insists on becoming her maid. Despite her magical powers and clingy behavior, Tohru is determined to repay her debt to Miss Kobayashi. Life quickly becomes chaotic—and heartwarming—as more dragons and fantastical beings enter her world.
The new movie will explore deeper emotions and focus on family and relationships. The trailer gives a sneak peek of what to expect.
