New Black Clover anime announced at Anime Expo 2025; teaser out, Crunchyroll to stream it soon.

There's a new Black Clover anime in the works now, and that thing was said out loud at Crunchyroll's panel at Anime Expo 2025. They showed some teaser images alongside a brief trailer, and a lot of fans appear quite pleased about that. But then they also didn't say anything definite on the date or who would be producing it yet. Crunchyroll only said that they gonna stream it when it releases sometime later.

Although there ain't any actual information about the staff or the cast or anything, people already get hyped. That teaser made many speculate about what direction the story is gonna take next. It seems like this anime gonna have more of Asta's narrative, but nobody yet revealed the complete portion of what it's gonna be.

Manga Still Running and The Name Stay Strong

The Black Clover manga began long ago in 2015 in Weekly Shonen Jump, by Yūki Tabata. Subsequently, in 202,3, it shifted to Jump Giga. So far, 36 volumes have been published in Japan. The series is still not complete, and a lot of readers continue to follow it, episode by episode.

Before this, the anime was produced by Studio Pierrot, with direction by Tatsuya Yoshihara. It ran from October 2017 to March 2021, for a total of 170 episodes. It became huge for them wild magic battles and the speedy pace it maintained. A movie was released post-show—Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King—to Japanese theaters in March 2023.

That film explained one more piece of the story, with fresh characters appearing. It filled some of the pieces that were not explained in the anime previously and provided fans with additional pieces to learn more about the world.

Asta and Yuno Still Pursuing That Wizard King Status

This show is all about Asta and Yuno, who were both abandoned at one church as babies. Yuno had powerful magic at an early age, but Asta had none. Asta still winds up with a grimoire that erases magic, which makes him unique in a world where everybody relies on magic.

Despite all their large disparities, both of 'em dream the same thing—to be Wizard King. That dream continues to drive them, even when it's hard. Crunchyroll still has the previous episodes, and now they are coming in with the new series as well, so fans have more to look forward to once again.
