One Piece Season 2 Coming in 2026 from Netflix
Straw Hat Pirates return in 2026 as Netflix’s One Piece enters the Grand Line.

It is now officially confirmed that One Piece live-action is returning once again with Season 2. This is according to Netflix at the Tudum 2025: The Live Event, and the fans are happy to know the Straw Hats crew are sailing once again. The release month is not yet confirmed, but it is already confirmed that production is complete. Filming was conducted in South Africa, and some photos from the filming location have already emerged. These are of larger locations and new appearances of the world of the story.
Season 1 performed extremely well across the globe and set numerous records. Netflix is now attempting to get this season also achieve the same success, if not more. The story in Season 2 will enter the Grand Line. This is a vital location in the manga and anime, where a lot of risky stuff and powerful enemies are kept waiting. So the series will get more serious, have larger battles, and more visually stimulating scenes than before.
Chopper and Dr. Kureha Come in Next Part
Co-showrunner Matt Owens discusses what's new. He states that the writers already map out from the beginning where the story is heading. He also said that Dr. Kureha is arriving and she is going to have a prominent role. This character is from manga and is familiar to most fans. Not only does she provide a fresh storyline, but she also contributes to deeper feelings for certain characters.

But the biggest surprise was about Chopper. This reindeer is everyone's favorite, and now he'll appear live-action for the first time. Creator Eiichiro Oda himself announced this, and the fans got more thrilled. Chopper possesses a unique devil-fruit ability, and he contributes both humor and tough emotions to the crew. His arrival will alter the Straw Hats' crew dynamics greatly.
More Hopes After Season 1 Did Well
