Persona 5: The Phantom X Reveals Launch Date and Trailer for Global Release
Persona 5: The Phantom X launches globally on June 26, 2025 with new trailer reveal.

ATLUS and SEGA have announced the official launch date for Persona 5: The Phantom X, with confirmation of a worldwide launch on June 26, 2025. This will be the first time an English language version of a Persona title is launched on the same day as its Japanese counterpart. The announcement was made on a special program presented by Neki Matsuzawa, where members of the development team and voice cast were present.
The event also featured a new trailer for the title. Senior developers from SEGA and ATLUS, as well as key team members such as Kaede Hondo and Chika Anzai, participated in the presentation. Development Producer Jun Matsunaga mentioned the difficulty of creating a live-service title that fulfills the rich storytelling and character detail typical of a Persona game.
New Spin-off Brings Persona Universe to Mobile and PC
Persona 5: The Phantom X, or P5X, is a spin-off that builds on the world established in Persona 5. Developed by Perfect World Games, with assistance from ATLUS and SEGA, the game mixes classic RPG aspects with a free-to-play business model optimized for mobile and PC.
Unlike previous entries in the series, P5X brings live-service elements, which means the game will be continuously updated and receive new content after launch. The developers want to deliver a story experience that competes with the depth of mainline Persona games, even though the series is moving to a more dynamic game format.
With its global release date scheduled for next summer, The Phantom X aims to introduce a new take on the popular franchise while keeping the iconic style and tone that fans have grown accustomed to. The new trailer gives us a first look at the game's world, characters, and style, hyping us up for its release.
