Upcoming fantasy romance light novel to TV anime adaptation, Private Tutor to the Duke's Daughter, published a character trailer today that focuses on Allen (voiced by Yuto Uemura), the titular private tutor who takes the heroine Tina Howard under his wing. The series broadcasts in Japan beginning on July 5, 2025.
The trailer highlights Allen’s role and gives viewers a closer look at his personality. From Light Novel to TV Screen
Riku Nanano writes the original Private Tutor to the Duke's Daughter light novels. The series began publication in October 2017 on the Kakuyomu website, with a printed version featuring illustrations by cura releasing under the Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint in December 2018, and 19 volumes published in Japan to date. A manga version illustrated by Tamura Muto also began in September 2019, with four volumes released so far.
This long-running light novel has developed a dedicated fan base, and its expansion into anime is a highly anticipated move. The visual style and character dynamics of the manga and light novels will be brought to life through this adaptation.
Creative Team and Storyline
Nobuyoshi Nagayama (AYAKA) will direct the series with Kazuya Ishikura acting as assistant director at Studio Blanc. Megumi Shimizu will provide the series composition, Akiko Toyoda on the character designs, and Kei Haneoka on the music.
