See You Tomorrow at the Food Court Anime Premieres July 7 – Cast, Plot, and Events Revealed
New anime See You Tomorrow at the Food Court starts July 7, showing quiet friendship moments between two girls after school at a shopping mall

The anime See You Tomorrow at the Food Court is now gonna start airing from July 7 at 22:30 JST. They dropped a new poster, it’s looking pretty calm with the two girls—Wada and Yamamoto—just standing there. There’s this line on it that says “The everyday life of two people that leave nothing behind.” Sounds poetic or something, not sure what it’s trying to fully say.
Anyway, this show is not long—just six episodes. It's more like something to enjoy slowly, not really a big flashy thing. The whole story is mostly just about two schoolgirls who act really different in public, but got their own strange sides when no one’s looking. Wada seems quiet and rich but she’s actually always playing games on her phone. Yamamoto looks scary but is deep into urban legends and follows a YouTuber a lot. After school, they sit down at the mall food court, and just talk about everything like it’s normal.
Baseball Crossover and Mall Event Coming Up
They're doing more than just the anime now. The Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles baseball team is getting involved too. On July 27, voice actresses Hiyori Miyazaki and Yoshino Aoyama will throw the first pitch at a baseball game. It’s a fun crossover for anime fans who also enjoy sports.
They’re also holding an event at AEON MALL Natori, which is where the anime is set. There’s a stamp rally and also a talk event happening there. It might be nice for people nearby to visit. Gives more real feeling to the anime.

Team Behind It and Voices Involved
The anime is getting made at Studio Atelier Pontdarc (they also worked on Uncle from Another World). Direction is by Kazuomi Koga (Rent-A-Girlfriend), and Jukki Hanada is doing the series writing stuff. He’s worked on emotional series like The Dangers in My Heart. The characters were designed by Kyuta Sakai and music was done by Kana Utatane.
There’s also an opening song called “Mikansei ni Matataite” by Oisicle Melonpan. You can already hear it in the trailer they posted.
Here’s the voice cast:
- Hiyori Miyazaki as Wada
- Yoshino Aoyama as Yamamoto
- Saori Hayami as Saito
- Jun Fukuyama as Duke Abel
The original manga started in March 2020, written by Shinichiro Nariie, and Yen Press is putting it out in English too. Story is not really complicated. These two girls just talk a lot at the food court. But those chats actually show a lot about them. It’s their way of understanding life and themselves, even if no one else notices.
This ain’t the kind of anime where big things happen. It’s soft and quiet. You watch it for the way people are, not what they do. If you like slow-paced shows where it’s all about mood and connection, maybe this is what you should try.
